The original “Batman” movie, directed by Tim Burton, was more hip than you remember. The 1989 movie had a killer soundtrack, done entirely by the legendary Prince.
2. R. Kelly
Not only did R. Kelly have a song titled “Gotham City”— named after Batman’s home town — but the R&B singer did something no other pop music artist has done: drive the Batmobile. Not only did he drive it…but he drove it through hoods in Chicago.
3. Dr. Dre
In the silly “Without Me” video, Eminem didn’t mind playing the backup role: he was Robin and Aftermath capo Dr. Dre was Batman.
4. Yung Berg
Yung Berg has had a lot of different chains. He has also been robbed of a lot of different chains. In 2010, Berg was robbed of his Batman chain by a UK rapper named Rowdy-T.
5. James Franco
James Franco doesn’t mind getting weird on social media. And things got super weird last December, when the actor posted some erotic Batman-influenced pictures on his Instagram.
6. Liam Payne
We have to give it to One Direction’s Liam: he had one of the best Batman suits ever. Liam wore his costume during Halloween 2012.
Bey loves playing dress up every once in a while. Last year, Bey had some fun in a Target when she wore a Batman mask while shopping for Jay Z’s “Magna Carta… Holy Grail” album and Kelly Rowland’s “Talk a Good Game” LP.
Last year, Drake became a legend. Drake got re-imagined as Batman for the cover of his comic book about his life.
9. Kanye West
Who would have thought Kanye West was into Halloween? Last year, the “New Slaves” rapper went all the way in when he dressed up as Batman for the holiday, while Kim dressed up as Catwoman.
10. Kourtney Kardashian
Kourtney also got in on the family fun when she dressed up as Batman, while Scott rocked a Robin get-up.
11. Jaden Smith
Jaden Smith is next level. The little weirdo showed up to Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s wedding wearing a Batman suit. Not just any kind of Batman suit ether…but a white one. Jaden said it on his Twitter handle best: “People Hate What They Don’t Understand.”
