The custody battle is on for baby Nahla. Oscar Winner Halle Berry is battling her baby daddy model Gabriel Aubry over their two-year old daughter. This custody battle is going to be vicious. Aubry has already gone to court to establish his rights as the father of their child. He wants child support and to be able to see his daughter. The couple, who broke up last year, has never gone to court to establish custody or visitation for their child. Berry has come out swinging. She has put her career on hold to fight her ex. In a war of words, a.k.a. he said she said, she says he has called her the n-word and b*tch. She says their daughter is terrified of Aubry. He says Berry is known for her jealous rages, and she cares more about dating than parenting. He says Berry flew into a rage when he started dating Reality Star Kim Kardashian. He admits it wasn’t serious, but Berry warned him keep our child away from that slut. He says he is not allowed to date, but she can date whoever she wants. Berry is currently dating Actor Olivier Martinez.

This year’s honorees are Actress Cicely Tyson, Supermodel Iman, Music Legend Herbie Hancock, Johnson Publishing’s Linda Johnson-Rice and Actor/Comedian/Singer Jamie Foxx, who’s on this week’s cover of Jet magazine. It’s the war of the Harveys: Steve and his ex-wife Mary. Mary Harvey has been on a media roll talking about how Steve cheated on her, mistreated her, tricked her out of money and took custody of their son. Mary says she is on a mission to represent women who can’t speak out because they have been silenced by their husbands and exes. Will the feuding Harveys be able to settle their differences? Tom Joyner did a pretty fair interview with Mary Harvey, and he offered to help the couple end this very public and nasty feud. Steve and his current wife Marjorie are planning to sue Mary, and I hear they are planning to do an interview with CNN to tell his side of the story.
Actor Laurence Fishburne is coming to HBO in the story of Thurgood Marshall. Marshall was a civil rights lawyer and first African American supreme court justice. The movie on his life, based on the Broadway play Fishburne starred in, will air during Black History Month on February 24th.

Actor Michael Jai White is no longer with his wife Dr. Courtenay Chapman. Friends of the couple say the split was surprising because the doctor poured her money into helping White’s career. White is best known for his work in Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married films and for the movie Black Dynamite.
Michael Jackson’s music is also going to be featured in a special episode of the FOX show Glee. Glee has a special airing after the Superbowl on February 6th where the cast will be doing the music from the Thriller album. The Superbowl for 2011 will air on FOX, and the special halftime guests will be The Black Eyed Peas.

Oprah Winfrey’s mom Vernita is not doing well after Oprah forced her to reveal she gave up a child 47 years ago. In a bombshell Oprah show, The Mighty O talked about her family secret. When she revealed she had a half sister, the ratings went through the roof. Family members are concerned because since the show, Vernita has not been able to get out of bed. She’s been very depressed since Oprah made her come clean on TV. Vernita didn’t want to talk about it. Oprah pays the bills, so they made her talk about it. Vernita feels she came across as a loose woman and a bad mother. At 75, Vernita recently suffered a stroke due to high blood pressure and diabetes.
Diana Ross’ son, Evan Ross, is leading an all-star cast in the movie Mooz-lum. The movie, by Writer/Director Qasim Basir, tells the story of a young man’s struggling to come to terms with his Islamic faith on an American college campus. Evan Ross stars as “Tariq Mahdi.” The cast also features Danny Glover, Nia Long and Roger Guenveur Smith. Mooz-lum opens in theatres next month.
Tracy Morgan is talking about his new kidney and the ex-girlfriend who gave it to him. Morgan underwent the surgery in December. His ex girlfriend Tanisha gave him one of her kidneys, and then they broke up. He paid her hospital bills. His ex was hoping for something more, but the 30 Rock star has moved on with another woman. Last year, George Lopez and his wife divorced after she gave him one of her kidneys.
Get well wishes go out to Tennis Sensation Serena Williams. She is battling a bone infection in her right foot, and she has lost a lot of weight. She dropped out of the US Open to get well, but so far she has not been responding well to antibiotics.
Foxy 95.5 Afternoon Drive Host Michael Baisden has a new documentary called Do Women Know Want They Want. The documentary explores the topics of sex, monogamy, cheating, marriage, interracial relationships, girlfriends and even open relationships to ask women what they really want and do they even know? Jennifer Hudson has a lot of things planned for this year. She’s got her new Winnie Mandela movie and a new album, but plans to expand her family will have to wait. The four legends will reunite again for the 25th anniversary of the song and AmFar’s 25th Black Tie Event in New York on February 9th. Tyler Perry, the detective? Yes! Perry has signed on to play “Alex Cross,” a crime solving D.C. detective based on the books by James Patterson. This is not a Tyler Perry production. The only time he ever appeared in a movie that wasn’t his was Star Trek. Morgan Freeman previously played the “Alex Cross” character in the movies Kiss The Girls and Along Came A Spider.

Actor Danny Glover is showing the power of forgiveness. Last year, his Lethal Weapon Co-Star Mel Gibson was involved in a hailstorm of controversy during his battle with his baby momma Oksana Grigorieva. She went public with Gibson’s rants, which included his usage of the N-Word and anti-Semitic remarks. Glover and Gibson became superstars with their Lethal Weapon movies, and they became friends. In a recent interview, Glover spoke about Gibson. He says he still loves Gibson and that you can’t abandon your friends when they are going through a crisis. He says the two recently had a sit down and talked about the controversy.

Singer Angela Bofill is hitting the road with a tour featuring Maysa and Dave Valentin. Bofill suffered a series of stokes dating back to 2006. She can no longer sing, but she is able to narrate the story of her life. Bofill is facing huge medical bills due to the fact that she had no health insurance. In a recent interview, Bofill said having the strokes was God’s way of forcing her to take care of herself. Bofill, 57, is going to be a grandmother this spring.
