:60 Second Sermon Sept. 22
Someone is struggling with a sense of self-worth. You’re looking in the mirror and feeling lost because you don’t recognize the person you see. The problem isn’t what you see though; it’s what you don’t see. You’re not seeing that you are a child of God. You have been redeemed and that means you are a child of the King. Whatever lies in your past is exactly there…in your past. It’s been washed away by the blood. So, when anyone or anything tries to throw it back at you…remember…it’s long gone, forgotten, washed away, and as far as God is concerned it does not and cannot define you because you have been made new. The next time you look in the mirror, remind the person looking back at you that they are forgiven, redeemed, and a new creation formed with the blood of Christ, and no weapon formed against you is going to prosper.
