In an interview with Comedy Hype, Mo’Nique had a message for Oprah, saying, “You know what you need to do, and stop hiding behind what you called negative comments. ‘Oh I don’t even deal with things like that.’ Because what people are beginning to do is see you for what you really are.” The beef goes back to when Oprah had her talk show. Mo’Nique says Oprah called Mo’Nique and said her brother wanted to come on the show and tell his story of sexually abusing Mo’Nique. But Mo’Nique said she wanted nothing to do with him. She added that things went left after Oprah vowed to cancel her brother’s appearance if Mo’Nique was uncomfortable with it. Mo’Nique was shocked to see commercials with not only her brother but also her parents and another brother. Her family ended up going on the show without Mo’Nique knowing. Mo’Nique said only one thing will make it right. “Until that woman says ‘Let me apologize to you publicly’ it’ll be until the day I leave this earth. What you did was malicious, and it was intentional and it was ugly.”
