DAY 1: ROUGH ROUGH ROUGH LOL…

YALL I THOUGHT I WAS PREPARED. I PICKED UP A GOOD DEAL OF THE FOOD ON THE LIST! LIST IS REALLY COMPREHENSIVE AND SIMPLE OF FOODS YOU CAN PURCHASE AND PREPARE! EVEN WITH ALL THAT GETTIN… I STILL LEFT EVERYTHING AT THE HOUSE %$#@!!!

BREAKFAST WAS SAVED BY DOOR DASH! I ORDERED SOME PLAIN OATMEAL AND BERRIES AS WELL AS A TURKEY SANDWICH AND A SALAD FOR LUNCH! I’M GRATEFUL THAT MORE RESTAURANTS OFFER HEALTHY ALTERNATIVES! YAY 2019 AND DOOR DASH LOL I LEFT THE MAYO OFF AND THE BROWN SUGAR THAT CAME WITH THE OATMEAL! HOMEMADE MAYO IS ALLOWED ON THE DIET AS WELL AS OTHERS YOU CAN MAKE YOURSELF! THOSE ARE THE RULES AND IAN HAS RECIPES THAT GIVE YOU TASTE AND VARIETY WITH SPICES AND MORE! DINNER WAS A BIT OF A STRETCH BECAUSE I HAD A PRETTY LONG DAY AND THE INTERMITTENT FASTING WINDOW I CHOSE (8 HRS) WAS CLOSING QUICKLY. I BEGAN EATING THAT MORNING AT 10A AND 6P WAS MY DEADLINE TO CEASE EATING… YEAH I WANTED TO CRY AND HONESTLY I WASN’T STARVING… BUT I BROILED THE CHICKEN AND STEAMED SOME TURNIP GREENS AND CHERRY TOMATOES! IT TURNED OUT REALLY GOOD SO I WAS HAPPY WITH DINNER…

HERE’S WHERE THE STORY TAKES A TERRIBLE TURN…AND I’M GOING TO TELL THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH…

I HAD MADE PLANS TO MEET A FRIEND OUT TO DISCUSS SOME BUSINESS… THAT SOMEHOW ALWAYS TURNS TO DRINKS… CRAZY PART IS, ALCOHOL ISN’T COMPLETELY OFF THE CLEAN AND LEAN PROGRAM… I HAD A RED CABERNAY AND IT WAS EXCELLENT! MEETING WENT WELL AND I POLITELY MADE MY WAY HOME… THEN I SAW THE SIGN :( #LONDON AND SONS WAS STILL OPEN… AND THE GIZZARDS WERE STRAIGHT CALLING ME… CLEAN AND LEAN DIET BE DAMNED I PULLED IN.

NOW I COULD BLAME IT ON THE ALCOHOL BUT I KNEW WHAT I WAS DOIN… UGH. O ANNNNNND I WAS SUPPOSED TO EXERCISE… HA HA HA DIDN’T HAPPEN… I’M SO ASHAMED…

BUT THAT DEFEAT DIDN’T KEEP ME FOR LONG! I GOT UP THE NEXT DAY AND SUCCESSFULLY GOT THRU THE ENTIRE DAY EATING PROPERLY MINUS THE WORKOUT! I REBOOTED MY DAY 1. CLEAN AND LEAN IS PRETTY SIMPLE AND TO THE POINT AND IF YOU’RE BEGINNING YOUR FITNESS AND HEALTH JOURNEY YOU’LL DEFINITELY FIND IT HELPFUL! EVEN IF YOU’VE DONE THIS “DIET” THING SEVERAL TIMES, IT’S STILL A GOOD JUMP OFF!
