So here is some background:
They’ve been married for four years and have a 1.5-year-old together.
They decided since getting married that she would become a homemaker and SAHM when they had a baby because it was cheaper for her to stay home since she earned less money anyway.
She has been home for about 3 years now and it was fine before the baby.
Her husband earns good money but he’s very frugal about nonessential spending because he wants to be financially independent at an early age.
Her husband is fine with her spending less than $150. Anything over that she has to ask.
Her sister who’s also a SAHM says her and her husband have an agreement where she’s paid about $3500 a month for childcare/homekeeping because that’s how much it would cost them to hire an outside nanny where they live, but it would not be that much for her.
The question becomes, Does She Have a Point?
