Chris Brown was accused by a woman who claimed he raped her at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel earlier this year in Paris. He was arrested, but released from police custody without charges pending a further investigation. A hearing recently took place and Chris Brown didn’t show up. The victim’s American lawyer, Gloria Allred dragged him. “[Chris Brown] has thumbed his nose at and shown disrespect for the French legal system.” She also said, “Brown’s failure to appear today is very unfair to my client, but I assure him that my client will not be deterred from seeking justice.” The victim’s lawyer in Paris saw it different, saying that Chris Brown was not legally obligated to attend the French hearing. Chris Brown says that the rape never happened.
