Sixty Second Sermon
Sunday, May 5, 2019
Today’s Sixty Second Sermon is for you if you’re feeling depressed, oppressed, or just feel like giving up right now. Life comes at us hard and can knock us off our feet. That happens to all of us. Yes, all of us…even the people who seem to have it all together and things always seem to be going their way, get knocked down from time to time. The thing that makes the difference is what we do when difficulties come at us. It’s only human to feel sad or sorry for ourselves, but if we can refocus off the problem and onto The One who promised to bear our burdens and fight our fights, we get a burst of energy that changes the way we look…and feel about everything. Listen, life is going to throw you curves. What you have to do is stop trying to fight it alone. When you get knocked off your feet this week…Stop what you’re doing. Close your eyes, and ask God to calm your spirit. Then open your eyes, take a deep breath and let it go to Him. He can do things we can’t and God’s got your back, front, and your situation in His hands so you can stop worrying, everything is going to be alright.
