Calling on ALL the Pray Warriors! Our beloved “Queen Of Soul”  Aretha Franklin, the very FIRST woman to be inducted into the Rock And Roll  Hall Of Fame has been ordered by her doctor to stay off the road and rest completely for at least the next two months according to a statement released by Aretha’s management team. It adds that Franklin is “extremely disappointed she cannot perform as she had expected and hoped to.” Aretha had been tapped to perform March 25 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, New Jersey. That show would have taken place on her 76th birthday. Miss Franklin also won’t appear April 28 at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Organizers say Rod Stewart will perform as the headliner instead. Maybe that’s a good idea because in recent photos “Sister Re” hasn’t been looking too good:

Last year, Franklin who announced her plans to retire, stating she wanted to spend time with her grandchildren and other family saying she would perform at “some select things.”  Please sent your well wishes to Aretha in the comment section below and here’s to GOD’s speed and a full recovery Lady Soul!
