After turning down a previous request to join The Manhattans, Gerald Alston took the group up on their 2nd offer to become their lead singer in 1970 and the rest is history. The group climbed the R&B charts on through the 70’s and 80’s bringing us a slew of hits, including the 2nd song in history to go platinum ‘Kiss and Say Goodbye.’

Today is Gerald Alston’s birthday and we’re going to celebrate the Henderson, North Carolina native by playing songs by The Manhattans at 8pm. Check out this 1976 classic by the group…it’s all #LoveAndRnB!
