Gospel singer Kim Burrell went on a tirade about gays in a church sermon which was recorded on a cell phone during the service and went viral.  This led to singers Pharrell Williams and Janelle Monae to denounce her speech and quickly distance themselves from her.  Both artists posted to their Instagram accounts that they do not support any hate speech of any kind.

Apparently, Miss Burrell is on the soundtrack to the new movie Hidden Figures and was scheduled to appear on the “Ellen” show this Thursday (January 5) along with Pharrell who is responsible for the soundtrack to the movie.  Ellen is a lesbian and a huge supporter and figure in the LBGT community.

Since the video was revealed Ellen was hounded with people protesting the controversial gospel singer’s upcoming appearance which led to Ellen finally releasing a statement via twitter saying that Kim Burrell will NOT be appearing on her show.
