Radio One St. Louis has relaunched one of its popular radio stations, 95.5 R&B and Old School for The Lou. The new station will replace Old School 95.5 (WFUN-FM). The station will encompass a wider variety of music to include more current R&B and Classic Hip Hop.
“This is a natural evolution for a station primed to make a major impact in the St. Louis market,” said Gary Gunter, VP/General Manager at Radio One St. Louis, “95.5 is for the Lou and now it will truly represent that with its newly expanded playlist. We’re all excited for what the future holds.”
The format will play a mixture of today’s R&B, Old School, and Classic Hip-Hop. The station will also introduce a new love and R&B evening show hosted by John Monds. The show is slated to begin before the end of the year.
“We’ve evolved to become the R&B station for St. Louis and are looking thrilled to be moving forward with the brand.” said Boogie D, Operations Manager, Radio One St. Louis.
