Al Roker is not here for the bs.

The Today show weather anchor has likely had to sit by and listen to his co-hosts talk a lot of mess over the years. But on Friday, he was over it.

The 62-year-old clapped back in regards to the Ryan Lochte controversy, now being referred to as #LochteGate, in which the swimmer fabricated a story where he claims he was robbed at gunpoint in Brazil during the Olympics.

In a video that’s been circulating on social media, Roker shuts down radio host Billy Bush, who argues that Lochte “embellished” his story.

Here’s a little background on Bush: He is a new Today show host who came from entertainment news show Access Hollywood. He was one of the first people Lochte mentioned the incident to. And he’s also the nephew of former President George H.W. Bush.

“He lied,” Roker begins. “He lied to you. He lied to Matt Lauer. He lied his mom. He left his teammates hanging, while he skedaddled.”

“He embellished,” Bush says.

“No,” says Roker. “He lied. There was no robbery. There was no pull-over. There was nothing. Nobody cocked a gun to his head. He lied.”

“OK, calm down,” Bush responds. Bush later says Lochte and his teammates are a group of “kids” and “good athletes” who don’t need to make an apology.

But in all truth, Roker shouldn’t “calm down.” He’s serving as a voice for many who believe Lochte’s unabashed privilege as a White man gave him a free pass to lie.
