Over the weekend, news of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne splitting up spread like wildfire. The first conclusion many jumped to was that Ozzy’s infidelity had broken the pair up. The other assumption was that his sobriety was an issue. Today, he spoke out and quieted the rumors on anything regarding his sobriety.

“I have been sober for three and a quarter years,” Ozzy told E! News. “I have not touched drugs or alcohol in that time. Any reports that I am not sober are completely inaccurate.”

As for how Sharon is taking the news, she decided to take a personal day from her show The Talk. Her co-host, Julie Chen, spoke about her absence.

“There were many tabloid headlines this weekend about Sharon and her husband Ozzy, rumors and speculation that they have split up after 33 years of marriage,” Chen said. “Sharon understandably took today off. We are sending all of our love to her and to her family, and we ask that you do the same.”

Ozzy and Sharon were married for thirty-three years before the split. The two share three children together; Aimee, Kelly, and Jack.
