Actress Malika Haqq and her sister Khadijah Haqq are best known for their roles in the film ATL, as well as being the best friends of Khloe Kardashian. After a spin-off show for the Haqq twins, “Dash Dolls” didn’t exactly have the same success as “Keeping Up With The Kardashians”, Malika is headed over to another reality series.

The 33-year-old beauty is joining the new season of TV One’s acclaimed series, Hollywood Divas. The reality show has given new life to actresses with fledgling careers including Elise Neal, Golden Brooks, Lisa Wu, Countess Vaughn and Paula J. Parker

As a twin, Malika admits that even as an adult, she’s had difficulty pursuing a career without her sister, who has settled down with a husband and son. She shares that the show is a way for her to assert her independence.

“One of my most challenging moves to date has been stepping out of my comfort zone,” said Malika “At the same time, I know I need to grow and surround myself around other actors, so joining the cast of Divas seemed like a leap of faith in the right direction.”

‘Divas’ executive producer Carlos King shared his excitement of adding the veteran reality star to the cast. “This season, I wanted to explore a different side of Hollywood and that’s Young, Black Hollywood,” he said. “Malika Haqq not only represents that world; she thrives in it. She is truly a Hollywood Diva.”

Beauties, do you think the current ‘Divas’ will embrace Malika or will there be some tension? Let us know if you plan to tune in!
