Jacque Reid goes Inside Her Story with Ashlee Haze, a spoken word artist who received a surprise visit from Missy Elliott after writing For Colored Girls Who Don’t  Need Katy Perry When Missy Elliott Is Enough, a poem dedicated to the legendary rapper and producer.

“I do professional poetry slams and we get our slams recorded. The poem went viral and Missy found me on Twitter. She DM’s me and she says I heard your poem and she asks for my phone number and address. She then messages me again and says will you be home tonight I want to send you something. I was thinking okay, UPS isn’t running today but Missy can have anything delivered. My doorbell rings and there are two women at my door that I’ve never seen before and then Missy pops out!”
