Three years ago, songstress Beyoncé graced the stage at the Super Bowl Halftime show for an unforgettable performance. This year, the singer will perform during the halftime show yet again alongside Coldplay. According to Pepsi, Beyoncé will join the band on stage to sing a rendition of their new song “Hymn for the Weekend” off their latest album Head Full of Dreams. “Are you kidding me? It’s the greatest moment of our band’s life. We’re going to give it everything we have,” said band leader Chris Martin. Coldplay’s artistic director said there will be other special guests throughout the performance, including crooner Bruno Mars. Super Bowl 50 is slated to take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on February 7. There will be a live broadcast on CBS. Read more.


U.S. Black Chambers Inc. Speaks on White House’s Executive Actions On Gun Violence

The White House recently revealed a fact sheet designed to highlight executive actions being taken in the effort to combat gun violence. After looking at the fact sheet, Ron Busby Sr., President of the U.S. Black Chambers Inc., decided there are missing fundamentals that need to be added. “The correlation between economic disparity and gun violence is grossly missing from the national conversation on gun control,” said Busby. “The reality is the economic conditions facing the majority of black Americans leaves them vulnerable to crime and targets for police brutality.” He also mentioned that “serious policies must be put in place to alleviate the economic conditions of those most impacted by gun violence.” The U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. is a group that promotes economic prosperity within impoverished and crime-ridden neighborhoods and also strives to help establish more Black-owned businesses. Boyz II Men to Appear in FOX’s “Grease: Live”

Legendary R&B group Boyz II Men will soon reunite again for FOX’s Grease: Live production. The group recently took to Twitter to share the exciting news with their fans. “We’re so excited to announce we’re joining #GreaseLive! Catch us all play Teen Angel Jan 31 on FOX. #threeangels,” they tweeted. For those unfamiliar with the movie Grease, Teen Angel was the person who appeared in Frenchy’s dream when she had anxiety after deciding to drop out of beauty school. The role was played by Frankie Avalon in the original movie, but for this production, they decided to enlist all three of the current Boyz II Men members. Other people featured in the production include Aaron Tveit as Danny, Julianne Hough as Sandy, Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo, Keke Palmer as Marty, and Mario Lopez as Vince Fontaine.
