The Martin Luther King Holiday is a day to celebrate the non-violent principals of the civil rights leader.  The King Center For Non-Violent Social Change is calling for “No Shots Fired” to commemorate the nationwide holiday. In a time when gun violence in our neighborhoods, shootings in our children’s school and video games become increasing violent, the non-violent message is needed more than ever before.

Some encouraging news comes from a new report released by St. Louis County Police. Crime was down in 2013.  From the KMOV report the overall crime rate was down 7.4%. Smalls steps can add up to a big change.
