12/11/13- Dear Tom:

In July 2012, my son, O’Neal was struck by a hit and run driver on his bike coming home from work at 4 a.m.   So far, no arrest has been made to the driver who ran him over.  Since the accident my son’s life has dramatically changed while he has had to fight back from the serious trauma injuries he sustained.   Sadly, while he was trying to recover he lost his job while still under the doctors’ care.   Any small, short-term assistance he received ended back in October.

O’Neal is a single father to three children, ages 7, 5 and three.   His children mean everything to him and it deeply saddens him that since his accident times has been so bleak for them.   There have been several times that the lights have been turned off, food has been scarce and an eviction notice has been placed on their apartment door.  I am an elderly mother praying for them all and I am turning to you to be a blessing to their home for the holidays.

tom, from the depth of my heart I am asking that you take some of the stress off my son by covering the rent he owes for October, November and December, preventing an eviction and that his children have a smile on their faces Christmas morning when they receive gifts from Santa Claus and they have delicious food for a Christmas feast.

God bless you,

Diane Wells
